Hudson is getting to be such a big boy. Especially compared to his little brother.
We have had 1 poo on the big toilet but none since then and that was about a month ago :( We were getting pretty consistent with pee-pee's on the toilet but have seen a regression as of late and now, once again he has to be prompted to go sit on the big toilet and will then only pee. No poo's!
He is starting to eat a little bit more especially breakfast. He loves cereal, cereal bars, oatmeal, eggs, bacon and bagels. We have had to get more strict about his dinner menu. We are forcing him to eat what we eat and if he doesn't he goes to bed w/o dinner. We have seen him start to try a few things he wouldn't otherwise try but we still have many nights where he refuses to eat at all.
He is getting better at pulling his pants and underwear on/off. He is also starting to separate from his blanket a little which is good since he can't have it at Rainbow (daycare). Evidently it was causing problems when other kids would go to grab it.
Hudson knows all the letters of the alphabet and can identify them when asked. He can count to 12 and sometimes 15. He knows all of his colors and is learning shapes. He is also able to spell his first and middle name.
It may be typical for 3 year old's but he has been extra challenging to parent lately. He has been aggressive and defiant and pushes our buttons. He has bratty moments often and is very affected by lack of sleep. His sweet and innocent moments seem few and far between.
His imagination is beginning to develop and we've noticed that several of his prized toys now have either personalities or genders. His blanket is a "she" for whatever reason.
We are celebrating his birthday in 2 days and daddy is making him a "Cars" cake with Lighting McQueen. He has several gifts from nana/papa and us and Chris will join us for dinner. I'm making one of Hudson's favorites, Mazythra. Daddy is making him a sandbox so we got him sandbox toys as well as some letter and number association cards. Gma & Gpa are getting him a swimming pool.
We look forward to seeing more and more of his personality evolve and hoping that we emerge from this "bratty" phase sooner rather than later. We are crossing our fingers that potty training is in our very near future as well.
